We are sailing...

Sometimes I think that Malta has the same reasons for coming as for not coming. Today I have said goodbye to one of my best friends at the airport. He is coming back to Italy, to his home.

You meet so many people who come here like you did, to disconnect and to look for a job while they are improving their English. But unfortunately, Malta is a place for just passing through, so I have made really good friends to whom sooner or latter I should say "see you soon. I wish we will meet again". While good moments that I have lived here leave a good taste in my mouth.

Trips to Blue Lagoon one time and another, excursions to Marsaxlokk to see its fishmarket, walks between Sliema and St. Julians during the sunrise, beers after work in a pub by the seashore and endless party nights.

If that day I hadn't decided to pack my stuff and come to Malta, I wouldn't miss everything the day that I leave. But at the same time, I would be less happy because of everything that I couldn't have lived here.

Damned paviment!!

Yes, the island welcame me with a cut in my big toe... I got off the bus and I slipped. Maybe it's a sign, because yesterday I had to make a trial in a restaurant placed in a very luxury part of St. Julians called Portomaso...

Now I must go there on Monday, but tomorrow I'm having another interview in a luxury hotel in Qawra, a little far from Sliema... what is Malta trying to say me??

Yesterday I went to the "beach", well, I'm going to name it rock-beach. I was wetting my poor big toe but it was today when I decided to go for a swim. The temperature is so good that jellyfishes like also, so I have to be carefull.

I went to Bay Street and Paceville, where the nightlife is, but before to explore it I must make unless one friend! When I saw Fuego, I remember Mixela and Ale, because they are always recommend me going to dance salsa. You know I prefer other kind of music to go out, but some day I will go!

Today I went to The Point mall and I saw in the supermarket sandwiches ice-cream!! Andrea and Rocio are funs of this dessert!!

Finally, I have to say this in Spanish: hoy vi las típicas latas de conserva con la llave para abrirlas, que sólo las había visto en dibujos animados!!! que gracias, un día me compro una sólo por el chiste!!
